Catriona Grant, MSN, RN, CRN-BC

2025 Member-At-Large Nominee

Vision Statement: With over a decade of experience as a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), I bring operational expertise, strategic leadership, and a deep commitment to advancing CRN practice. In the Tearney Lab - a 50+ member multidisciplinary research group that develops and translates novel imaging devices for use in human studies - I lead complex clinical research projects and oversee lab operations, with responsibilities ranging from regulatory strategy and compliance to HR and space management. My role demands strong organizational skills, patience, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate. My leadership experience also extends beyond the lab. At MGH, I served as Co-Chair and now Advisor to the MGH Clinical Research Nurse Collaborative, leading initiatives that connect and empower CRNs across the institution. As President of the Boston–New England Chapter of IACRN, I have worked alongside a highly talented group of CRNs to foster a sense of community amongst CRNs throughout the Boston New England area and guide chapter activities that support IACRN’s mission. Recently, I spearheaded efforts to review and refine our chapter’s mission and create a vision statement to inspire our future work. Serving on the local chapter has given me the invaluable opportunity to learn from the diverse perspectives of CRNs across different institutions and work together toward shared goals. I believe this experience has provided a strong foundation to effectively serve on the Board of the parent organization. Serving as Member-at-Large on the IACRN Board of Directors would be a privilege. My chapter-level experience has given me a deep appreciation for the dedication, collaboration, and strategic thinking required to grow and sustain a volunteer-led organization. Building on the strong foundation that IACRN has established over the past 15+ years, my vision is to further strengthen the visibility and influence of CRNs, ensuring their voices continue to shape the future of clinical research nursing locally, nationally, and internationally. I would bring to the Board a proven ability to translate vision into action, foster community, and advocate for the essential role CRNs play in the clinical research enterprise. My sincere thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
